The SafeCyclist Curriculum is a comprehensive bicycle and pedestrian safety education curriculum designed for fourth and fifth grade elementary students. The SafeCyclist Certification Training provides teachers and youth community workers with bicycle and pedestrian safety skills and the curriculum needed to teach these life saving skills to their students. The Safe Routes to School Event Handbook is an extensive guide to organizing biking and walking events for your local school and community. In the Handbook, BikeTexas leads you through all the steps of organzing events such as a Bike and Walk to School Day, Bike/Walk Rodeos and Bike/Walk-A-Thon Fundraisers.  These fun events  teach children bike safety skills while improving health and well-being and making your neighborhood safer for biking and walking.

BikeTexas Kids Kup events were developed to inspire the next generation of mountain bike enthusiasts as well as introduce children to basic bicycle safety and handling skills. 

Texas colleges and universities participated in a pilot program from BikeTexas called College Active Transportation Safety in the Summer and Fall 2012. Funded by the Texas Department of Transportation, BikeTexas CATS addressed the need for information and education and for reducing motor vehicle-related pedestrian and bicyclist fatalities by training college student leaders to give presentations to incoming freshmen.
